About the art:
I've had inspiration for this piece since I first saw The Clone Wars series finale which left me with a lot of emotions. The idea of the piece comes from the duality of the title of the very last episode: how the two concepts can be equally applied to each side that I chose to depict as two halves of my painting, taking the opposite meaning depending on how you look at it. The fluidity of traditional watercolor served as the perfect medium for this concept. The clone motif serves as a unifying parallel between the two scenes, and being a big clone trooper fan that I am, I wanted to showcase the tragedy of the clone army and Order 66.

About the artist:
Hello, my name is Ksenia Zelentsova (she/her) and I'm an artist who specializes in illustration, character art, and comics. I've always loved telling stories through visual art and took a lot of inspiration from popular culture, Star Wars being one of the major influences on my imagination since early childhood. My previous work for Star Wars includes illustrating The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark, and exhibiting a Star Wars: The Bad Batch inspired artwork at SWCA in 2022.
